Workshop Invitation- The Employment Standards Act- Common Pitfalls and New Obligations- February 2023
Half-Day Intensive Virtual Workshop
There were significant amendments to the Employment Standards Act, 2000 (the “ESA”) in 2022, including the new requirement for disconnect from work and electronic monitoring policies. Applying interactive learning and real life-scenarios, this half-day workshop examines the following topics:
Ø Common ESA Pitfalls: Frequently breached provisions of the ESA (including vacation, hours of work, and overtime) and
how to stay compliant.
Ø New ESA Policy Requirements: What must an employer include? What is not required?
Ø Remote Work Considerations: Unique ESA compliance issues that may arise for remote (or hybrid) employees.
