Students

Monica joined Sherrard Kuzz LLP as a first year summer student in 2022, returned in 2023, and will article with the firm in 2024-2025.  She is a Juris Doctor candidate at the University of Toronto, where she is a member of the Labour & Employment Law Society, Business Law Society, and a David Asper Centre for Constitutional Rights privacy law working group.

Prior to law school, Monica completed an Honours Bachelor of Science in biology with minors in political science and gender studies. She was a Dean’s List Scholar for three years. Monica was also a research intern at Massachusetts General Hospital and has been published in the British Journal of Anaesthesia. Throughout her studies she volunteered at a hospice, community health centre, and hospital where she became familiar with various human resources matters including occupational health and safety.

Away from professional pursuits, Monica is a long-suffering fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and enjoys attending concerts.
