Students

Matt joins Sherrard Kuzz LLP as a first-year summer student in 2024. He is a Juris Doctor candidate at Osgoode Hall Law School, where he is an associate editor for the Journal of Law and Social Policy, an executive member of OUTLaws, and an eager mooter.

Prior to law school, Matt completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts with High Distinction from the University of Toronto in Contemporary Asian Studies with minors in Economics, Math, South Asian Studies, and Political Science. He had the privilege of representing the Hart House Debating Club at numerous international competitions and is a Canadian national debate champion.

In his spare time, Matt enjoys competing on various recreational LBGTQ+ rugby and volleyball teams, cycling, and seeking out the best restaurants in Toronto. He also operates a debate coaching charity, Buildacase. He is bilingual in English/Turkish.
