Daniel joined Sherrard Kuzz LLP as a first-year summer student, returned for his second summer and articles with the firm in 2019-2020. He is a graduate of the Juris Doctor program at Western University, where he was named to the Dean’s Honour List, finished with the highest grade in Legal Writing, Research and Advocacy and was received the following awards and prizes:
• Sherrard Kuzz LLP Labour and Employment Achievement Award for highest standing in a variety of employment and labour related courses
• J.S.D. Tory Writing Prize
• Law Society of Ontario Prize
• McArdle-MacKinnon 125th Anniversary Alumni Award
In addition to working hard at law school, Daniel was a teaching assistant for the undergraduate course, Introduction to Law, and served as co-vice-president of the Labour and Employment Law Society.
Prior to law school, Daniel earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts with High Distinction from University of Toronto where he majored in Employment Relations. He then obtained a Master of Industrial Relations and Human Resources (MIRHR) from University of Toronto, where he ranked first overall with the highest academic average in his graduating class.
In his spare time (as if…), Daniel enjoys running, listening to music and following soccer and hockey.
