Aicha joined Sherrard Kuzz LLP as a first-year summer student and returns for a second summer in 2020. She is a Juris Doctor candidate at Queen’s University where she is a caseworker for Queen’s Legal Aid, volunteer editor for the Canadian Labor and Employment Law Journal and research assistant at Conflict Analytics Lab.
In her first year at law school, Aicha was awarded both the Queen’s Law Prize in Contracts and the Queen’s Law Prize in Legal Skills. In her second year, she earned the Dean’s Gold Scholar Award (for the top student in her year) and the Sherrard Kuzz LLP Prize (for the highest standing in labour, employment and administrative law). For her articling year, Aicha will clerk with the Federal Court of Appeal in Ottawa.
Prior to law school, Aicha graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a minor in economics.
A Certified Human Resources Professional with the Human Resources Professional Association, Aicha worked for two years in the banking industry before joining a local Toronto not-for-profit as an employment specialist.
In her spare time, Aicha hikes with her beautiful border collie, Calla, attends local amateur soccer games and unwinds with a good book.
